Description:
In 1772, the English printer James Rowley used his newly-patented card-printing process to produce a reformed pack of cards with the suits Pike (black), Chalice (red), Topaz (yellow), and Clover (green) replacing the Spade, Heart, Diamond, & Club. We have redrawn the symbols for this new pack, and hand-tinted the court cards. We have added indexes for convenience of play, and added two jokers Play Costly Colours, Noddy, or Pope Joan with cards of an original 18th century card pack.
